Genta is the priest’s bell used in temple ceremonies. The bamboo version hangs by house entrances in Bali — to welcome guests and keep bad spirits away. Bamboo tubes of different lengths hang on coconut cord beneath a small shell roof. The sound is low and woody — like Balinese gardens at dusk.
Total length 75–100 cm.
For a balcony, terrace, garden or beside the front door. Indoors — by a window left ajar, wherever it catches a draught.
Material and care: the bamboo is treated, but it is best hung under a roof, in the shade. Bring the chime indoors for winter. Remove dust and pollen with a dry cloth.
Handmade: the length of the tubes, the shade of the bamboo and the sound of each chime are different and will differ from the photo — that is the nature of handwork, not a flaw.
Pre-order from the container: no prepayment when you order. Photos of the actual chimes will follow once the container arrives, and we send a photo of your piece before shipping.
Pre-order price in Polish złoty; the euro amount is approximate (NBP rate). Settled when the container arrives.
