Akar solid teak stool

The Akar stool is cut from a single block of teak or suar — a cube or a cylinder. The surface is sanded and oiled, the underside finished with felt. Akar means root: the finest pieces come from the trunk just above the ground, where the wood twists and shifts colour in waves.

The cylinder is 30 cm across and 40–45 cm high, weight 8–12 kg. Low root-wood side tables are available in the same line — state the size in the order notes. If you leave it blank, we will ask by e-mail before shipping. Package dimensions: 40×40×50 cm, packed weight 10 kg.

Use it as a seat at the table, a bedside table, a plant stand or a perch by the bath. Two or three with different grain make a coffee table.

Material and care: wipe oiled wood dry and avoid standing water. Refresh the surface with wood oil now and then. Keep it away from radiators and full sun.

Handmade: every block has its own grain, shade and pattern of checks. Size and colour may differ from the photo — that is the nature of solid wood, not a flaw.
