The sides of the stool carry a relief — leaves, vines, sometimes a bird — cut with a chisel in a workshop in Jepara, the carvers' town on Java. The seat is smooth for sitting; the carving is on the sides for looking.
Two forms: square 31 × 31 × 46 cm and round, 32 cm across and 43 cm high. Solid teak, matte finish. The carving pattern varies from piece to piece.
This piece is not in the container plan yet. If enough people are interested, we will add it to the next trip — leave your e-mail and we will write when we know the price and date.
