A basin carved from a single river boulder. The outside stays as the river shaped it; the inside is honed smooth and sealed. The stone comes from riverbeds in eastern Bali. In a workshop near Gianyar the mason selects boulders with a uniform core and spends two days hollowing them: first with a hammer, finally with a hand grinder and water. Tirta is Balinese for holy water.
Size: 45–60 cm at the longest, standard Ø45 mm drain. Each piece has its own shape and shade of grey; we pick them on site, one by one. Parcel dimensions: 70 × 50 × 25 cm, about 28 kg packed.
For a bathroom in the spirit of a spa: on a wooden counter, next to bamboo and linen towels. Raw stone pairs well with smooth plaster and a black tap. It also works in a guest toilet, where one object is meant to make the impression.
Material and care: clean with a mild product, no acids or abrasives. Renew the sealant from time to time, especially inside the bowl. Wiping dry after use helps.
Handmade: every boulder is different, so the shape, the shade of grey, the outer texture and the exact dimensions differ from the photo. That is the nature of stone, not a defect.
Pre-order from the container: no prepayment when you order, and we send a photo of your actual piece before shipping.
Pre-order price in Polish złoty; the euro amount is approximate (NBP rate). Settled when the container arrives.
