Pring bamboo lamp

Pring is Balinese for bamboo — the plant the island uses for everything from scaffolding to altars. The Pring shade is made of pressed, bent bamboo: thin strips laid in a spiral or a saucer shape. The workshop bends them hot and joins them with rubber-based glue. Natural honey colour.

Sizes S/M/XL, 30/45/60 cm across. Also available as a table lamp — state in the notes. If you leave it blank, we will ask by e-mail before shipping. Bamboo is light: even the largest shade weighs under 1.5 kg. Package dimensions: 65×65×40 cm.

Above a table, over the bed, in the living room — it gives soft, warm light and the strips draw a pattern of shadows on the ceiling. Several shades in mixed sizes group well.

Material and care: keep bamboo dry, away from steam and damp; dust with a soft brush. Choose a light source that stays cool, such as LED.

Handmade: the layout of the strips, the shade and the exact diameter of each lamp differ from the photo — that is the nature of handwork, not a flaw.
