Table gift set

A gift set for the table. It contains two Kelapa bowls made from coconut shell, sanded and oil-polished, and four coasters of pearly capiz shell. Kelapa means coconut; the shells are a by-product of oil making, and a bowl gives them a second life.

A set for breakfast for two or for the coffee table: two bowls, four coasters. We pack them together, ready to give.

The bowls for smoothie bowls, rice, nuts; the coasters under mugs and glasses, or as a small tray for jewellery or incense. The pearly sheen of the shell catches morning light nicely on a wooden table.

Material and care: shell and coconut are naturally water-resistant; wipe with a damp cloth and dry. Hand wash the bowls and oil them every few weeks. Not for the dishwasher or microwave.

Handmade: the grain of the shell and the drawing of the capiz are different in every piece. The shade, shape and exact dimensions differ from the photo. That is the nature of a natural material, not a defect.
