Rugs and floor cushions

A seagrass rug cools in summer and is not troubled by sand from shoes, because the fibre is hard and smooth and the spiral weave has no pile for anything to lodge in. The usual diameter is 200 centimetres, with a bound edge.

Alongside the rugs we carry floor cushions in raffia and water hyacinth with foam cores that hold their shape for years. Natural fibres build no static and do not trap dust the way fabric does. Vacuum as normal, lift stains with a damp cloth, and keep the rug away from standing water.
