Rattan and shell lamps

A rattan lamp gives diffused light: the weave throws the pattern of its own strands across the walls instead of flooding the room with a flat glow. Capiz shell shades work differently, because the thin shell plates themselves glow like pearl once a bulb shines through them.

We carry hanging shades in rattan, bamboo and raffia, and table lamps in shell, all with an E27 fitting. For weave and shell we recommend a warm bulb around 2700 K, as cold light flattens the texture. Shades arrive ready to hang from a standard ceiling rose, without their own wiring.
